摘要
It was mainly to analyze the advantages and new dynamic characteristics of a new contra-rotating turbine (CRT) without vanes of low pressure turbine, and to discuss the cause of leading to the new characteristics which make it more difficult to design high efficiency CRT, then to present the main ways to solve the problems, continuously to design a compact supersonic highly loaded and efficiency Vaneless CRT. The main measures to design CRT were expounded from velocity triangles analysis, throughflow design and 3D numerical simulation. The results indicated that CRT has higher overall efficiency than the conventional turbine for the low pressure turbine with excellent dynamic conditions.
