Depression Angle Estimation for MIMO Interferometric Imagery Measurement

摘要

In this paper, a depression angle estimation strategy is presented for MIMO interferometric imagery measurement. The strategy assumes at least one separable scattering center with rough estimated height can be found in the MIMO measurement data. The distances of the scattering center measured by the different virtual elements and the relative position of the elements are used to estimate the radar observation geometry, including the radar depression angle. Simulation results are presented to analyze the accuracy of the depression angle estimation. A measurement scene including a metallic ball and a short ellipsoidal cylinder is given as an example to demonstrate the usefulness of the presented strategy for the MIMO interferometric imagery measurement.
