abstract = "This paper studies the controller design of continuous-time linear systems with state delay and unknown system dynamics. The problem is transformed into an H-\{infty\} control problem firstly. Then an iterative algorithm is proposed to design the controller by using the off-line input and output data of the system. Compared to the existing method, the proposed algorithm can offer more reliable solutions, which will be illustrated by a numerical example.",
