摘要
The authors regret that the "three key conditions" in the final paragraph of Section 5 (page 6 of the article/ page 118 of the volume) is not sufficiently accurate. The revised corrected paragraph in full can be found below: First key condition: If all food comes from BLSS's internal biosynthesis, the oxygen produced is sufficient for the crew's breathing need. Second key condition: If there is organic matter input from outside, it must be balanced by organic matter output of the same respiration quotient synthesized inside. Third key condition: The gas balance of BLSS cannot be achieved by biological self-organization and calls for human intervention. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
