Calculation Model for Surface Roughness in Forming Grinding of Involute Spline

摘要

This paper proposes a calculation model for surface roughness during the forming grinding of involute splines, the model considers the source of the grinding roughness: (1) Surface roughness due to the removal of grinding material; (2) Surface roughness due to the uncut height caused by the change in the surface curvature of the grinding wheel and the surface dispersion. In this paper, the classic calculation model of cylindrical surface grinding roughness is used, the necessary parameters in the forming grinding process of spline are extracted, the tooth surface roughness under certain conditions is calculated and the spline grinding test is carried out. The test results verify the correctness of the calculation model of the forming grinding roughness, so as to realize the prediction of the grinding roughness of the involute spline tooth surface.
