摘要
The ring is regarded as one of the most traditional and effective buffer structures due to its simple manufacture and low cost. The current research on the ring buffer structure is mainly about its plastic deformation behavior. When the ring collides at a lower speed, there only exists elastic deformation. However, the current research on the elastic deformation mechanism of the ring is rather rare and limited. For this research gap, this research does a detailed calculation and analysis of the elastic deformation of thin-walled rings. First, after establishing the deformation formula of the ring under quasi-static loading condition and the relationship between dynamic and static compression in free-fall condition, the elastic coefficient expression of the ring was obtained. Then, the elastoplastic deformation analysis of the ring structure is carried out, and the expression of the elastic deformation limit was obtained. Finally, with the finite element method, the dynamic response law between parameter variables and ring performance under quasi-static loading and in free fall was studied and compared with the theoretical calculation results. The comparison outcomes show that the simulation results are consistent well with calculated ones, which validates the effectiveness of the derived deformation formula.
