Broadband Stack-layer 3 MHz - 11 MHz Dual-frequency Ultrasound Transducers for Photoacoustic Imaging

摘要

Photoacoustic imaging requires a wideband ultrasound receiver, but the narrow bandwidth of ultrasound transducers results in only a part of the photoacoustic signal being received. Here, we propose a broadband stack-layer dual-frequency ultrasound transducer design. This transducer has two close sensitive frequency bands, and the equivalent -6 dB fractional bandwidth covers 1-16 MHz. Through several calibration experiments, we demonstrated that the proposed dual-frequency ultrasound transducer has the potential to be an ideal receiver for photoacoustic imaging.
