摘要
In this paper, we present a novel tetrahedral mesh generation technique that directly utilizes 3D images of porous media as input for the conforming Delaunay Triangulation (CDT) algorithm, addressing the challenges posed by the complex geometries and topologies inherent in porous materials. The method extracts topological details using a regular grid and approximates geometric boundaries through the intersection of polygons or curves with the target region, enabling continuous approximation during incremental vertex insertion. This approach eliminates the need for standardized explicit geometric constraints and overcomes the complexities of extracting explicit boundaries from 3D images. The proposed technique has significant implications for aerospace applications, including the optimization of thermal protection systems for spacecraft, lightweight structural design, and advanced acoustic panels for noise reduction. By enabling accurate simulations of porous media, this method enhances aerodynamic performance, thermal insulation, and structural efficiency, contributing to the development of safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly aerospace technologies.
