摘要
Classical response surface method approaches the structural stochastic response using a group of general polynomials, but this method can not guarantee convergence. Stochastic response surface method can compensate the drawback of the classical response surface. Two numerical examples and a practical example of an aero engine disk were presented herein to validate stochastic response surface method. The results show that, with the increasing order of polynomial chaos, the probability density curve of a response approaches the results from Monte Carlo simulations.
