Application of assembly tolerance stackup methodology in wind turbine drivetrain manufacturing

摘要

To meet the rising demand on technical development and assembly process improvement of large MW scale wind turbines, and to provide service for the manufacturing and assembly of reliable and long-life MWs wind turbines, the recent advances in the research of mechanical assembly tolerance stackup modeling was summarized and discussed in detail. The important impact of assembly tolerance on the fatigue failure in wind turbine drivetrain components was discussed. By combining with the current state-of-art of assembly tolerance techniques on wind turbine design/manufacturing engineering applications, the existing technical problems and future trend were pointed out respectively.
