摘要
Electromagnetic radiation field emanating form array can be expressed with Floquet modes when frequency selective surface (FSS) configuration is exposed to an incident planar wave. Physical interpretation of Floquet propagating and evanescent modes is made from view of propagation, frequency characteristics of Floquet modes in FSS configuration is analyzed in detail, and two significant conclusions are drawn. The effects of loaded dielectrics, lattice shape and angle of incidence on onset of grating lobes and surface wave frequency are researched through numerical examples, some meaning rules are gained, and foundation for electrical performance design of FSS configuration is provided.
