title = "Analysis of variable Acceleration Factor in internal and external field salt spray tests",
abstract = "Acceleration Factor (AF) is a quantitative index used to explain the acceleration. It only reveals a certain point acceleration rate and does not reflect the acceleration of the whole life, as a result the concept of acceleration shift factor is introduced. In this paper, the ageing of coating was studied to evaluate the relationship among internal and external field salt spray tests. The internal field was conducted in the laboratory, while test under shed at Wanning station was considered as the external field. The experimental results evidenced that the corrosion degradation phenomena obtained the commendable simulation and reproduction, based on the correlation analysis of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Furthermore, AF was not a constant as it traditionally was and was dynamic over time. AF of coating gradually increased as time went on with decreasing range. AF was only 5.94 initially and tended to a constant before the corrosion mechanism was changed.",
