N2 - Variable cycle engines achieve superior performance in the all-envelope range by adjusting variable geometry components. The addition of variable geometry components reduces the reliability of engine and makes it impossible to put into service. There is little research on fault diagnosis of variable cycle engine. The faults of variable geometry components have not been studied in detail. Therefore, the faults of variable geometry components for variable cycle engine are analyzed, and the measurement parameters for fault diagnosis are selected. Based on the zero-dimensional model of the variable cycle engine, the fault patterns of all faults in single and double bypass working modes are simulated by adjusting the fault parameters of components. Faults are divided into component performance faults and variable geometry components faults. The similarities and differences between faults in the two working modes are compared. In the double bypass mode, measurement parameters are preliminarily selected through analysis of fault modes, sensitivity and similar faults. Through correlation analysis, measurement parameters are added to reduce fault correlation.
