摘要

With the advent of intelligent transportation systems, vehicles with range sensors and wireless communication are regarded as a promising approach to improve traffic safety and efficiency. However, due to the open access to wireless connectivity, connected vehicles are vulnerable to cyber threats, which threatens traffic safety and privacy. This paper focuses on the impact of cyberattacks on vehicle mobility and traffic safety. We expand a classical car-following model to connected vehicles with cooperative adaptive cruise control under cyberattacks and propose the model to analyze the impact of cybersecurity threats on connected vehicles. To validate the effectiveness of our model, a series of simulative scenarios of the modified model are conducted by using PreScan and Matlab Simulink. This research is verified to describe the impact of cybersecurity attacks on a connected vehicle platoon and we hope that our model will aid researchers to understand the dangerous behavior of vehicles impacted by malicious cyberattacks.
