Analysis of ambiguity for synthetic aperture radar satellite with mechanical distortion in phased array antenna

摘要

The model for ambiguity calculation was used, basing on Ulaby's radar scattering statistic model, which has the capability to analyze the ambiguity of SAR imagery with different radar wave band, polarization and terrain categories. The model of thermal mechanical distortion in planar phased array antenna were introduced. The analytical mathematic function of antenna pattern under thermal mechanical distortion in planar phased array antenna was deduced with the paired echo theory. The statistic formulas for evaluation of the Ambiguity to Signal Ratio (ASR) is presented, which gives the expectation and mean square root of ASR. According to the new formulas, an effective approach for analytically analyzing the ambiguity performance for SAR satellite with thermal mechanical distortion is proposed. The computer simulation results are presented, which illustrates the validation of the new approach.
