abstract = "Stretch forming is widely used in modern automotive and aircraft industries as an important forming process. Numerical simulation of stretch forming is a powerful tool to understand how different parameters influence the forming process and the final shape of the product. Accurate description of the blank's boundary condition is required in order to simulate forming process successfully. In this paper, an equivalent model is proposed to deal with jaw's boundary condition in stretch wrap forming process. Using this model in the forming of rectangular hollow section aluminum extrusions, we found out that there is a good coincidence between the numerical simulation and real experiments, in the results of tangential strain, cross-section distortion and springback. This lays a solid groundwork for further stretch forming optimization research and paves a way to real industrial applications.",
