abstract = "Beam-scanning status of the phased array leads to variations in the near-field distributions, and it is costly to carry out exhaustive calculations through full-wave simulation or actual measurements due to the numerous beam-scanning angles. In this paper, an efficient calculation method is presented to obtain the near-field radiation characteristics. A planar array composed of infinitesimal electric dipole elements is selected as an example. The expression of the radiated electric field in the near field is derived through a summation of the radiated field from each array element. Corresponding results are compared with those obtained by full-wave simulation to verify the accuracy of the numerical model. This model can be employed to rapidly obtain the statistical characteristics of the near-field radiated field. The presented results are potentially beneficial for comprehending the near-field radiation characteristics in the case of dynamic beam scanning of arrays. Additionally, these results may further assist in avoiding potential electromagnetic interference issues when other receivers are located in close proximity to phased arrays.",
