N2 - To address the structural integrity damage caused by the embedded ABH and achieve effective detection of weak acoustic emission (AE) signals, this paper proposes an additional hyperboloid structure with power-law thickness (AHSPT), and introduces the finite element method and Poynting vector to analyze the signal enhancement performance and the wave focusing effect of AHSPT. Secondly, in order to obtain the effective output of the enhanced signal, an additional structure with dual-step power-law thickness is proposed, and the influence of its structural parameters on the signal enhancement effect is discussed in detail. Meanwhile, the multi-objective optimization analysis of the mass and signal enhancement ratio as evaluation indicators is performed to achieve the lightweight design of the proposed additional structure. Finally, the pencil lead breaking experiment is carried out to verify the validity of the analysis method. The results show that the AHSPT has significant signal enhancement effect and wave capture ability. Compared with the inverted traditional ABH, the AHSPT has lower boundary wave reflection in the coupling region, which is conducive to the convergence of high-frequency stress waves. At the same time, compared with AHSPT, ASDSPT not only provides a coupling platform for AE sensors but also further improves the signal enhancement effect. In ASDSPT, the importance of various factors affecting the signal enhancement effect is as follows: the residual thickness (d0) > the length of coupling surface (l)> the radius of ASDSPT (r1) > the height of ASDSPT (H) > the radius of sensor coupling platform (rs) > the power exponent index (m), where the signal in the specified frequency band can be enhanced by adjusting r1 and H. Additionally, the experimental results are in good agreement with the trend of the finite element simulation results, and the proposed additional structure has promising applications in enhancing weak AE information.
