N2 - Airfield Clearance Zone is an area designed around the airfield to ensure the safety of airplane operation. Airfield Clearance Zone is composed of runway strips, terminal clearance zone, and side clearance zone. There are strict restrictions on the elevation of obstacles in these areas. This paper summarizes the design theory development of Airfield Clearance Zone, studies the composition and interrelationships of the airfield's clearance surface, Gauss Mid-Latitude algorithm, and Airfield Clearance Zone design procedure are proposed with accuracy, highly flexible presentation.
