摘要
The optical fiber changed the light transmission characterizations when it has been exposed in the radiation environment due to the radiation induced defects and the formation of color centers. Thereby the capability of the fiber' s anti -radiation has great effect on its application to radiation environment. Moreover the damage of crystal lattice was recovered simultaneously caused by the effect of light or thermal when the color centers were forming. Furthermore the effect of the photo-bleaching is directly proportional to the light power and inversely proportional to the light wavelength. Based on the effect, the radiation induced loss can be reduced by emitting high-power light into the fiber and the active recovery of the radiation induced loss was realized, which had been proved by photobleaching experiment of PM fiber. Hereby the active recovery effect was put forward to reinforce the fibers' radiation resistance using two sources. In addition, the application importance of the methods was also discussed.
