A Theoretically Stable FDTD Subgridding Method with Arbitrary Grid Ratios and Material Transitions

摘要

A theoretically stable finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) subgridding method with arbitrary grid ratios is proposed to solve electromagnetic problems with material transitions. In the proposed method, the summation-by-parts simultaneous approximation term (SBP-SAT) and the interpolation matrix with arbitrary grid ratios are carefully designed to guarantee the stability. Numerical results validate the accuracy, efficiency and flexibility of the proposed subgridding method with material transitions.
