A study on the ventilation/cooling structures of battery box in electric vehicles

The ventilation/cooling structures of several typical battery boxes in electric vehicles are emphatically studied, from which more rational structures are selected. The results show that among cooling structures studied the positive ventilation/cooling structure with wind baffle is the most reasonable structure, which makes the battery working at a suitable and uniform temperature. The temperature distributions of all single cells are almost identical and the temperature difference at corresponding points is within only 3 K, meeting the requirements of practical engineering use.
