A Simulation Optimization Model for Cell Scheduling Considering Energy Consumption and Machine Breakdown

摘要

This paper addresses the scheduling problem for cell manufacturing system, considering machine breakdown, job inter-cell movement, and energy consumption for machine idleness, which are common in real production but hard to be handled simultaneously. An integer programming model is established which minimizes the make-span as well as the total cost of energy consumption for machine idleness and repairing of faulty machines during the process. Due to the strong hardness of the problem, the solving approach based on the three-layer wolf pack algorithm combined with discrete event simulation is proposed. Numerical experiments show that the proposed algorithm can find a satisfied solution to this two objectives optimization problem in a reasonable time.
