A sensorless control of SPMSM based on sliding mode observer with linear power drive method

摘要

In this paper, a new sensorless control strategy based on sliding mode observer(SMO) and phase-locked loop(PLL) for high speed surface-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) is proposed. Compared to conventional sliding mode observer, the novel observer replaces signum function with sigmoid function as the switching function. This paper presents the results for improved SMO and conventional SMO individually based on two different control schemes, which are SVPWM (Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation) control strategy and linear power drive control. The proposed SMO combining with linear power drive control has been demonstrated to be the best strategy among these methods. The simulations show that the accuracy of the rotor position estimation improved as well as chattering problem reduced.
