A Real-Time Sinusoidal Voltage-Adjustment Power Supply Based on Interleaved Buck Converters with Enhanced Reference-Tracking Capability

摘要

In order to satisfy the requirement of fast dynamic response, high linearity and low distortion for the power supply of piezoelectric actuators, this article presents a real-time sinusoidal voltage-adjustment power supply (RTSPS) with enhanced reference-tracking capability. The proposed power supply is composed of a pair of interleaved buck converters and an analog power amplifier. Since interleaved buck converters have an adequately fast response, the supply voltage of the analog power amplifier can follow its output voltage to reduce the power loss. The operating principles of the proposed power supply are presented, and its improved reference-tracking capability is analyzed and verified by experimental results. An application demonstration of the RTSPS with the proposed interleaved buck converters is shown, which provides a biased 500-Hz quasi-sinusoidal voltage for the piezoelectric actuator.
