A numerical analysis of acoustooptic diffraction efficiency in TeO 2 crystal using multiple scattering theory

摘要

In order to improve the diffraction efficiency of acousto-optic devices, parameters must be elaborately chosen. The well-known multiple plane wave scattering theory developed by Korpel and Poon is utilized to analyze the diffraction efficiency in TeO2 crystal. The analysis results show that when the electrical driving power increases, the diffraction efficiency shows a sine-function-shaped change and the peak to peak value will decline; when the length of piezoelectric transducer increases, the diffraction efficiency gradually increases to the peak value and becomes stable. It is also found that the obtained diffraction efficiency becomes higher when the incident angle approaches to the Bragg angle.
