摘要
In this article, the optimal design of the mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is investigated based on the analysis of the terminal reliability. The number of nodes and the communication range are taken as the decision variables. The effects of time and energy consumption on the reliability of the MANET are both considered. Specifically, the proposed optimization method includes three steps. Firstly, search the maximum achievable reliable lifetime. Secondly, by taking the maximum achievable reliable lifetime as the upper bound, a mission duration is chosen according to the requirement of missions. Thirdly, search the optimal design of the MANET to maximize the average all terminal reliability during the mission duration.
