abstract = "In this paper, a new type depolarized fiber optic gyroscope is described. Sensing coil is constructed by single-mode optical fiber. A superluminescent diode source is used to reduce both the coherent scattering effect and Kerr effect. Two depolarizers with 1.0\% degree of polarization were used to reduce the output bias drift and improve the scale factor. Long-term bais stability better than 2.0° /hr is obtained during ten hours observed time.",
