abstract = "Congestion is a typical network fault. For a network with determine resource deployment and topological structure, improving network routing is often considered the most feasible way to alleviate network congestion and improve network capacity. To increase network capacity by adjusting the routing will bring change in path length of traffic. However, the method for selecting or evaluating various routing strategies is maximizing network capacity which is best reflected by critical packet generation rate of a network. However, this method ignores path length cost in the network. In order to consider the network capacity and the average path length cost comprehensively, a new routing selection method based on comprehensive performance of critical packet generation rate and path cost is proposed. The method provides a weight factor to adjust the proportion between the two important factors. The proposed method extends selection factor of path length cost on the basis of only considering network capacity in traditional routing selection, which are more in line with the actual situation of routing selection, and can also guide the routing design of a network. Simulation results indicate that the method will give different suitable routing selection according to different weight, and will give the same selection result when weight is bigger than 0.1.",
