abstract = "We report a multi-mode resonator in which a metal beam can realize self-excited vibration in a steady electrostatic field between two electrodes under DC (direct current) voltage. The beam{\textquoteright}s self-excited vibration can achieve mode transition and frequency jump when the DC voltage is changed. By gradually increasing the DC voltage by 10\%, the frequency output can suddenly jump to 5 times of its original value with the vibration mode transitioning from the first-order to the second-order. The sharp frequency jump due to voltage variations has great potential in applications of highly sensitive sensors and multi-mode actuators.",
