A Modified Method for Measuring the Faraday Rotation Angle

摘要

A modified method is proposed to measure the Faraday rotation angle in quasi-optical system, which is based on the phase-amplitude method. By employing two polarization grids, the proposed method only need a single linearly polarized receiving antenna and does not need to change the position of transmitting/receiving antenna, thus avoiding the phase error caused by moving cables. Measurements are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The advantages and limitations of the proposed approach are also discussed.
