摘要

In this paper, a microwave-metamaterial sensor is proposed for measurement of different dielectric substrates. The passive device is based on a few arrays of Asymmetric Electric Spilt-Ring resonator (AESRR), which is sensitive to the change of dielectric surroundings. Common dielectric materials were simulated in CST and a parabolic equation was fitting to estimate relative permittivity of unknown materials based on the response. Moreover, a sensor is fabricated and the response of the sensor with different materials (MUT) is measured using vector network analyzer (AV3672C). The measurement results indicate the feasibility of the sensor design scheme and the potential of the sensor to predict the dielectric properties of unknown MUTs in the future.
