abstract = "The large-scale1 deployment of Linux clusters under the X86 architecture has always been one of the key research issues in data center construction. Reducing deployment time on large-scale clusters is the research focus. This paper proposes an image deployment method, Image-based Linux Deployment (ILD), for deploying Linux clusters under the X86 architecture automatically and solving the shortcomings of existing deployment methods. By combining package-based deployment with disk image-based deployment, the ILD is divided into five parts: pre-build stage, base image build stage, second image build stage, deployment stage and log module. It not only reduces the deployment time, but also provides a flexible and convenient method. With unified interface layers, deployment stage definitions and XML configuration files, ILD can execute automatically corresponding to users' demands. Experimental verification shows that ILD can deploy Linux clusters under the X86 architecture effectively and cost less time than traditional deployment methods.",
