A Life Evaluation Method Based on Accelerated Degradation Tests under Combination of Cycling and Constant Temperature Stresses for Rubber Sealing Rings

摘要

Some rubber sealing rings usually are little key parts used on aircraft equipment, whose failures sometimes decide the life of the equipment. Generally, accelerated degradation tests with single condition such as constant temperature or temperature cyclings are conducted to evaluate the life time for rubber products. In this paper, considering aircraft flight profile, a life evaluation method is proposed based on accelerated degradation tests under combination of cycling and constant temperature stresses for a kind of rubber sealing rings. Basing cumulative damage theory, the comprehensive reaction rate model and the life time model are derived and established, and also, the processes of parameter estimation are illustrated. At last, a data processing example is given on how to use the method to calculate the life time for the rubber sealing rings.
