N2 - Metasurfaces are one of the most popular synthetic materials in optical and microwave fields in the past decade. Modeling and simulating the metasurfaces is one of the vital steps in metasurface design. Here a new scheme is proposed to simulate metasurfaces, based on discontinuous Galerkin time-domain method and generalized sheet transition conditions. Compared to the previous numerical methods for metasurfaces, the new scheme has the advantages in broad-band/transient/nonlinear response analysis, conformal geometrical approximation and vectorial basis functions for electromagnetic field. Two examples are presented to validate the newly proposed scheme.
