摘要

Mg-Gd casting alloy has broad application prospect in aerospace field because of its advantages such as lightweight, high strength and high heat resistance. Precipitation strengthening plays the main contribution to the high strength of Mg-Gd casting alloys, and solution treatment is an important intermediate step of precipitation strengthening, which is of great significance to strength improvement. The challenge of coordinated regulation between sufficient dissolution of the secondary phase and grain growth as well as the microstructure evolution of LPSO and cubic-shaped phase of Mg-Gd casting alloys were introduced. Besides, the future research tendency of solution treatment was prospected in order to provide reference for the development and heat treatment process optimization of new high-strength Mg-Gd casting alloys.
