Abstract
In working process simulation for the solid rocket motor of finocyl grain-burning surface moving and internal ballistic simulating, eighteen fundamental dimensions of finocyl grain were defined as variable parameters, and the specific values can be inputted by means of man-machine interaction. The finocyl grain model of any thickness burned was built and its volume was calculated. Burning area was estimated by the approximate formula Ab=ΔV/Δe. Therefore the chamber pressure and the motor thrust can be calculated. The grain models of all thickness burned and the corresponding pressure-time and thrust-time coordinates were made as slide files. These slide files were displayed continually on the computer video screen, so the result of animated simulation was obtained.
