Windows based precise timing technology and its engineering applications

Abstract

Characteristics and applications of some timers that Windows offered are introduced in the article. Precision of a highly precise timer is also tested with a VC++ testing program, data acquisition card and a waveform generator. Through the example of its application in the rotating speed test of microtorque testing equipment and electroforming equipment, it is verified that the precision timer can be used in some occasions when high precision is requested.
