Abstract

In this paper, wet gas flow modeling for the straight section of a throat-extended Venturi meter was studied. A static model based on the separated flow theory was presented. Experiments were carried out within static pressure range of 0.26∼0.86 MPa, gas volumetric flowrate range of 80∼120 m3/h, water volumetric flowrate range of 0.3∼4.5 m3/h and quality range of 0.07∼0.36. It was obtained that the root mean square of the relative errors of the DP over the straight section calculated from the static model was 8.82%.
