Abstract

The all optical window equivalent-time sampling method based on cascaded symmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer are present. A system model based on SOA dynamic model was founded to analyze sampling process. The pulse broadening in PIN and its response are discussed too. The evolution of sampling window due to edge shift of sampling windows and sensitivity due to SOA bias current and aptitude of control pulse are analyzed theoretically. The all-optical waveform sampling system with submilliwatt optical signal sensitivity and subpicosecond temporal resolution is demonstrated simultaneously. The results have shown that the CSOS sampler system can measure continuous waveform with low error.
