Abstract
In radar tracing and guidance system, the lose-possibility has been greatly increased because of the glint, which is caused by the scattering wave front distortion. By using the Phase gradient method (PGM), the Graphic electromagnetic computing system (GRECO) has been extended to compute the glint of complex targets. In GRECO, the target is projected on the computer screen. Each image pixel is a facet scattering source. The edge scattering source can be determined by neighboring pixels. The scattering wave of facet and edge scattering source is computed by using the Physical optics method (PO) and the Equivalent currents method (ECM) respectively. With PGM method, the complex target Glint is obtained by the amplitude and phase of all scattering sources. The method has been verified based on the typical scattering model. The complex target glint and its possibility distribution curve are also given and discussed.
