N2 - Connect autonomous vehicles (CAV) have become a core to improve the safety and efficiency of the intelligent transportation system (ITS) in the future. Under the condition of low network penetration, a single CAV could not achieve the requirement of high vehicle safety. The vehicle-edge-cloud system (VEC), which is based on the multi-source data fusion from the vehicle, edge, and cloud side, can realize the global traffic situation awareness through collaborative networking and computing. However, most relevant research for VEC is tested in the simulation environment, which could not realize the real deployment. In this paper, a testbed is built for VEC from two parts, including the selection and assembly of hardware, and the integration of the communication module. Besides, several experiments are carried out in the testbed, which verifies the effectiveness of the ability for the deployment of the VEC application.
