Abstract
The direct numerical simulation (DNS) of incompressible reacting turbulent flows was carried out using a spectral method. The DNS statistical data are used to validate the sub-grid scale mass flux and combustion models for large eddy simulation (LES). It is found that a wall damping modification can improve the agreement of SGS models with the exact DNS data.
