Uncertain Theories

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

As real-life decisions are usually made in uncertainty, the motivation is provided for studying the behavior of uncertain phenomena. Many theories have been proposed to handle uncertainty. This chapter mainly introduces four theories crucial for the following chapters, namely, probability theory, credibility theory, uncertainty theory, and uncertain random theory.
