Abstract

An ultra-wideband single-mode single-polarization photonic crystal fiber design is proposed. Simulations indicate it has a 1540 nm SMSP range with the confinement loss being < 0.25 dB/km and an effective area of 2.2 μm 2. Meanwhile, the flat, near-zero group velocity dispersion can also be achieved at ∼800 nm.
