Abstract
The thermal energy storage(TES) system utilizing the latent heat of fluoride salts phase change is a key component of a solar dynamic system. This paper presents a brief description of the simplified TES system and one dimensional transient thermal analysis model was developed. This model was applied to a conceptual design of solar thermal receiver or the evaluation of TES thermal performance. Transient results indicate that the proposed design concept can meet the space station requirements.
