Transient Thermal Analysis Based on Spectral Element Time Domain Method

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

In this paper, we proposed a thermal simulation method based on finite element time domain (FETD) scheme. Firstly, we discretize the region using a hexahedral structure and give a point-based scalar interpolation function. On this basis, we obtain the weak form of the governing equation for the transient thermal analysis under the convection boundary condition by Galerkin method. Finally, we use the backward difference method to get the temperature distribution of the region.
