Topological structure of stereo shocks in the annularclustered plug nozzle

Abstract

By using a visualization method which only shows the grids of the stereo shock zones between unites of the annular clustered plug nozzle, the numerical results were reprocessed. From the visualized images of the three-dimension interference shock, three kinds of topological structures of interference shock and a kind of ridge contour of energy leak were summarized. The performance loss caused by these three topological structures was analyzed with the aid of the experimental data, thus providing a reference for further design.
