Abstract

This paper investigates the estimation problem of time-to-go under overload saturation. First, a guidance model for intercepting a stationary target in a two-dimensional plane is established, with three common analytical time-to-go expressions systematically categorized. Subsequently, adopting these conventional time-to-go expressions as baseline formulations, an improved time-to-go expression under overload saturation is derived based on dynamic equations and geometric theory. Following this, a time-to-go estimation algorithm is proposed to elaborate its implementation process and computational procedures. Finally, numerical simulations are performed under two representative scenarios to validate the effectiveness of the proposed time-to-go estimation method.
