Abstract

A three-phase active power filter based on simplified space vector was proposed. It is difference from traditional space vector, three-phase voltages are divided to six regions by across zero-voltage of each voltage waveform. In each region, the formula of duty ratio is established, and one leg works under low frequency and other two legs work under high frequency. The proposed control method is simple, robust, reliable, and high efficiency. It has features of high precision, effective compensation, and desirable for industrial applications. The analysis, modeling, simulations and experiments are carried out on a 6kVA three-phase active power filter. The simulation and experiment results verified that the proposed three-phase three-legs active power filter can compensates the harmonics and reactive current dynamically and effectively.
